Sinbad

Last time we were at the Comedy House we noticed advertising for Sinbad. His last show was last night--and Tom got us reservations during the intermission of "Girl's Night Out." We had to leave immediately after the final bows in order to get all the way to Columbia in time, but we managed and saw a pretty good show for our efforts. I can't say I thought too much of the two lead-in acts--their idea of comedy just doesn't jibe with mine (one guy asked for everyone who voted for George Bush to applaud--then suggested that all those that didn't applaud might like to bash the others over the head!).
Sinbad was a different story. He was funny, articulate, and completely inoffensive. Didn't use the f-word once--which in today's world seems to be a standard for comedians. We really enjoyed his show, even if we didn't agree 100% with everything he had to say. His show probably lasted two hours and he kept us amused for most of it. Good stuff.
