Interesting, and funny!

Our electric meter is inside our six-foot privacy fence and there is a lock on the gate. Yet, every month, we get an electric bill that says the meter has been read. I've wondered how can this be true? I learned today.

It was the first time I have ever seen the meter reader come by. I went out to see what he does. He uses an intrument that reads the meter from a distance, similar to binoculars! Luckily, he is a tall man, and he looks through the viewfinder over the fence and records the reading. You learn something new every day.

Now, if I can just figure out how they get the natural gas into the tank... :)
