This *should* have been posted on Saturday...unfortunately, blogger was having issues. So, belatedly, here is an anniversary tribute to my parents.
Here they are, shortly before their marriage in 1950. Aren't they cute together?
And here they are at their 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration at Antrim 1844 in Taneytown, Maryland. See how lovingly the cake is being shared? Nothing smashed in the other's face, no icing on her dress. Newlyweds-to-be, take note! Could this attitude of caring and respect be a factor is fifty-six years of wedded bliss?

I was just catching up on your blog and came across this entry. Wow this is a coincidence -- my parents wedding anniversary is also on February 4. In fact, they just celebrated their 50th last Saturday.

I can't believe we have known each other over 30 years and we never realized our parents share their anniversary! You're right--that's a major coincidence.
