Wildlife in the backyard

Tom and I were pleasantly surprised to return from church on Sunday and find the yard teeming with wildlife.  I think the cooler weather brought some of the critters out of their nice cool dens.  Granted it was 'smaller' wildlife, but we loved seeing chipmunks, squirrels, robins, and goldfinches as we walked from the car to the house.  While I was doing dishes, Tom looked over my shoulder and spotted a pileated woodpecker!  It was fun to watch it walk its way up a tree trunk, but when it flew to another tree it was just beautiful!
